UNSTICK PRIVACY POLICY
Unstick, published by Benjamin James Balke, is an app for iPhone, iPad and Mac that helps you start a task. This policy is short because the app does very little with data.
WHAT THE APP COLLECTS
Nothing. Unstick has no account, no sign-in and no analytics, and it makes no network request of any kind. It contains no advertising and no third-party software development kit. On Mac it runs in Apple's App Sandbox without permission to use the network, so the operating system enforces this.
WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
- Your journal: the date, length and outcome of each two-minute start you make. It is stored in the app's own folder on your device, protected by the device's encryption, and never sent anywhere. “Clear” in the Journal removes every entry.
- Your settings: theme, sound, haptics, game pace and whether you have seen the welcome.
- The text you type into a prompt's blank, until you leave that prompt. Copy or Share puts a prompt on the clipboard or in the share sheet only when you tap those buttons; what you do with it next is between you and the app you share it to.
Deleting the app deletes all of it. We never receive any of it, so we cannot read, export, restore or delete it for you.
CRISIS HELP
The Help button lists crisis lines stored inside the app, so it works offline. Tapping a line asks your device to call, text or open a web page, with the device's own confirmation. The app does not record that you opened the sheet or which line you chose.
CHILDREN
Unstick is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.
CHANGES
If the app ever collects data, this policy and the App Store's privacy answers will change first, and the change will be in the app's release notes.
